Figo joins fellow previous professionals Nadine Kessler and Dejan Stankovic who have been appointed advisors previously this year and will function with UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin and the Soccer Division.
The crew will deal with specialized aspects, laws of the recreation and the general attractiveness of the activity. Figo, who was briefly a applicant for president of world soccer body FIFA in 2015, will also be the primary figure of the UEFA ambassadors programme.
“I have been fortunate to acquire a wealth of experience and I think I can have a favourable impact in passing on my knowledge,” Figo, a previous World Player of the 12 months, claimed in a assertion.

Ceferin claimed the previous Genuine Madrid and Barcelona player’s exemplary perform on and off the pitch experienced built him a respected figure in the recreation.
